Hi Elizabeth. Exercise! Wow! There is a ton of things that you could do to exercise with Parkinson’s. I would recommend going onto YouTube and calling up,” exercise for Parkinson’s” there are many long and short videos to do from the Parkinson’s foundation. Some of the exercises are specific for the disorder. Additionally different programs for Parkinson’s exercise. Have been created. Here are a few that I got from Google AI:
Popular Programs & Resources
Rock Steady Boxing: Non-contact boxing classes for intense, functional training.
PWR! Moves (Parkinson's Wellness Recovery): Focuses on large amplitude movements.
PD Warrior: Neuroactive exercises designed to retrain the brain, with online and in-person options.
Parkinson's Foundation: Offers "Fitness Fridays" and other videos.(online)
Stanford Medicine: Hosts online classes (boxing, PWR!, HIIT, yoga).
How to Get Started:
Talk to Your Doctor: Get clearance and recommendations for your specific needs.
Start Small: Even low-intensity exercise like walking is not Ibeneficial.
Aim for Consistency: The Parkinson's Foundation suggests at least 2.5 hours weekly.
Mix It Up: Incorporate activities from all four core domains (aerobic, strength, balance, flexibility).
I live in Orange County and we have dance for Parkinson’s, also a Parkinson’s choir “the tremble cliffs”If you like to sing!
There are so many resources! I hope you’ll find one that you love !

Hi Elizabeth, I would ask what meds woud hep you. It depends on what symptoms you have. I would expect a tremor in your hand. Ask if there is any exercise you can do. It truly depends on what symptoms you have. I take meds every 3 hours to stay as stable as I can be.
Hope thi helps.
