Members responded to the question about constant constipation with Parkinson's disease, offering strong reassurance that this is a very common and frustrating symptom that many deal with daily. Several members shared their go-to remedies, including Miralax, Colace, Dulcolax, Benefiber, psyllium husk caps, prune juice, Ex-Lax, and high-fiber snacks to stay regular. A recurring theme was that managing constipation often requires combining multiple strategies, and that working with a GI doctor can make a big difference.

I just added Shameless snacks candy to my diet. I don't have to give myself any insulin when I eat them. They are low carb and 26 grams of fiber. 1 pack a day keeps me regular 😉 The only drawback is that they are expensive but very yummy 😋

My GI doctor has helped me a lot lately, @A MyParkinsonsTeam Member. Do you have one?

I have had to resort to X -lax every 4-5 days. It works well, with a complete emptying of my colon at 4am in two or 3 goes. And then I'm back in the crack till 6:30.

You’re definitely not alone. My Parkinson’s doctor recommended Miralax. It has no taste and can be added to water, coffee or juices. I hope this helps!
