The slowing down of swallowing/eating is called dysphasia. Sorry, but everything slows down in PD. There is a physical therapist who can help with that.. I saw a speech therapist who helped me with swallowing (I was choking on every meal). Ask your doctor, most insurances cover at least part of this.
Blessings, Karen

I am not sure exactly what you are referring to, but my grandmother Had reduced G.I. motility. She used a compounded medication called Domperidone (sp) to help the swallowing issue. She suffered with asthma and A-Fib as well as Parkinson's, so we figured her breathing problems stemmed from those afflictions. I hope you find the answers and help you need.
