Does anyone have experience with a burning sense in your mouth, accompanied by a nasty taste, shortly after taking carbidopa-levodopa? I have this recurring experience with my Rytary capsules. Another reason to drink lots of water with the meds.

I'm also on the high dose of Rotary and I have no taste for anything. I have no smell. But I cope with it. Got to have it.

Hi, Mary. I am now certain that carbidopa-levodopa explains my mouth symptoms. I’ve found articles galore about this on the Web:

I’m going to give sugar-free gum a try.

Take good care.

First, Google your symptoms then contact your Neurologist.

I get a burning sensation in my mouth and tongue. I figured it was the medicine!
