Your question is a very interesting one. I think "strange feelings" is a signature of any drug that acts within the brain, making it difficult to always distinguish between what the new normal really is and what once was. I am also taking close to the max dose and it does take some getting use to. Listen to your specialist but don't take their response as the gospel.
