Hey @A MyParkinsonsTeam Member. I'm still fighting the fight with the NHS to get them to recognise the causes of my anxiety and treat those, rather than treating the anxiety as if it's some sort of stand alone condition...

Along with pain anxiety was my biggest symptom. My temper was out of control I went from zero to 100 in 1 second flat.
Like many with Parkinson’s I was diagnosed with MDD( depression) and GAD (anxiety) long before my diagnosis not wanting to be that ā€œ angry old manā€ I had to try to do better! Long story short the drug I was on Cymbalta is not labeled for PD. I was put on a low dose of Zoloft as an add on (that is labeled for PD )and I started feeling feeling much better ( so far) Zoloft has taken away the on edge constantly feeling and with meditation and prayer I feel better.
Now to work on the pain. (Constantly)
There are other things as well like Azilect that can be added on in low doses to a anti depressant and your Parkinson’s meds but check it all out because some of the drugs have worse side effects then the problem!
Good Luck
Blessings

PS : They did a major study in Japan for Parkinson’s pain and Cymbalta and they found that Cymbalta failed even though it was found to be very effective for fibromyalgia.
But accidentally they found that Cymbalta has many benefits in movement and the progression of movement in Parkinson’s.

I used to get that feeling of anxiety around 5:30...... but not any more. At 5 pm I would get up, take the kitchen clock down and move the hand to 6 pm then before I went to sleep I put it back an hour. I am such clever dickie me šŸ˜„šŸ˜„

Hello. Almost every drug prescribed for Parkinsons and other mental illnesses are on open-ended trials. Every drug invariably has different effects on patients.
Unfortunately there is no other protocol other then keep on trying and testing. Hopefully one of these will work .
Do try deep meditation.

Yes. A constant underlying feeling that ramps up in am and pm. Comes out of nowhere often out of peaceful sleep
