I've read some very positive Hungarian experiences who had DBS. I haven't met any of them personally, but I willing to.
The main statment, better to have it the early stage of Parkinson.
The reasons:
a.) the inrevention slow down the progress of desease and its better to start earlier.
b.) The side affects of medication are significantly amplified by the time.
I'm just thinking about to have this (DBS) intervention,
and collecting information the risks and benefits

Abstract
Deep brain stimulation (DBS) in Parkinson’s disease has been evaluated in 10 studies involving over 1,700 patients.
Randomized trials and systematic reviews report that, compared to pharmacological treatment, DBS yields marked improvements in motor symptoms. For example, one trial showed that 71% of DBS-treated patients achieved a ≥5‐point improvement on the Unified Parkinson’s Disease Rating Scale (UPDRS-III) versus 32% on medical therapy (p < 0.001), while another reported a mean UPDRS-III improvement of 19.6 points and a between‐group difference of –15.50 (p < 0.00001). A lower risk of worsening rest tremor was also noted (odds ratio 0.21, 95% CI 0.09 to 0.45, p < 0.001).
