Drinking a lot of water ( I mean at least a gallon a day) and taking a stool softener like Colace) ( not a stimulant) has worked for me without discomfort) but if can take a few days to work). If you are desperate. Miralax is a gentle laxative. It does not come with instructions , but I found a presentation by a comical proctologist on U Tube who explained. how to take it. It worked perfectly by the next morning without discomfort.

I started taking linzess to help with the crazy constipation from comtam because the senna I take was not doing anything it took a while to get the results but it was helpful once I had it for a few days to a week.. stopped taking comtan and I didn’t have to take linzess anymore k take magnesium citrate and that helped me with constipation if I needed a little more help with constipation when my diet is not as good as it could be and didn’t drink enough water hope you find something that helps you!!
