My husband has had leg cramps since he was a track and field runner in high school. He has been drinking 2 oz of pickle juice before bed and rarely has cramps. You can order it from Amazon or Walmart. He doesn’t have Parkinson’s.

Here are several proven strategies that can help manage nighttime leg spasms and associated discomfort:

• Maintain a consistent sleep schedule and bedtime routine
• Get regular exercise during the day
• Practice relaxation techniques before bed
• Ensure exposure to natural sunlight during daytime hours
• Avoid caffeine in the evening
• Skip daytime naps which can disrupt nighttime sleep Some MyParkinsonsTeam members have found success with specific comfort measures:

• Using a weighted blanket to reduce tremors
• Sleeping with a pillow between the arms
• Choosing silk or satin sheets and pajamas to make movement easier in bed
• Trying herbal tea before bedtime
• Using CBD oil for relaxation (discuss with your healthcare provider first)

If these strategies don't provide enough relief, speak with your healthcare provider as they may need to adjust your medications or consider additional treatment options.
