Members shared helpful tips on the best ways to use MiraLAX for constipation, a common concern in the Parkinson's community. Several members noted that neurologists recommend taking it at night to work overnight, and that mixing it with Gatorade can make it easier to drink, while a half dose daily was suggested as a gentle option. A recurring theme was the importance of starting slowly, staying hydrated, and adjusting the dose as needed, with some members also finding relief through alternatives like prune juice, Smooth Move tea, milk of magnesia, and stool softeners.

I alternate between MiraLAX, Senokot, Gummies, and milk of magnesia. Milk of magnesia seems to work the quickest so I’ll take it first thing in the morning and I’m complete by noon or the next morning. it depends, that’s why I try and use different formulas. I also use Duco lax stool softeners. if I’m having a problem.
