I go to Rock Steady boxing. It helps with balance, strength, confidence and includes others who have Parkinson's. Check if you have one in your area. I highly recommend it.

Hello @A MyParkinsonsTeam Member ! Several excellent answers already, Things you should be concerned about:
- Falls , Falls and Falls - Avoid if at all possible. THings to do:
- Have a neurologist or movement disorder specialist check you out for the vertigo test @A MyParkinsonsTeam Member mentioned. Also, have them look for NOH ( Neurogenic Orthostatic Hypotension) which could be an issue. I had it at one point, no longer have problems with it, probably because of:
- Exercise @A MyParkinsonsTeam Member and @A MyParkinsonsTeam Member mentioned some good practices. Tai Chi is good for balance according to the research. Both YOga and Tai Chi can be adapted for sitting in a chair, or you might look into resistance bands exercises to strengthen the legs and ankles.
- I used to lurch around the house unti I learned to:
1. stand up
2. straighten up and breathe
3. check to make sure I'm not dizzy
4. Get the music going in my head
5. Walk in time to the musical beat, or strut, march or dance off in the direction I'm going. ,

Best of luck, hope you'll find the solution to your issue. B-)

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member Exactly--leg weakness is my major complaint--and then the migraines--I've had them for 40 years and feel certain the PD is connected to them. But re the legs--I walk a mile with my husband at lunch every day and ride my stationary bike for half an hour 3 to 4 times a week. It's not enough, I know, but such exercise does seem to strengthen my legs.

I often have leg weakness. Daily exercise, especially Yoga, helps me :) Also laying down and elevating the legs is very helpful.

My main problem is weakness in my legs and difficulty walking. It is worse when I get overt tired and I tire very easily. I have also had episodes of the room spinning and get migraines. It is hard to maintain a positive attitude as my quality of life has been severely impacted. Hope you are managing ok..have to keep fighting.
