I can't find a solution for my husbands hallucinations. He is getting worse every day. Seeing things & talking to people who aren't there. He gets very upset if I don't see these things. I need suggestions on medication. He took Quentipene for awhile which the Dr. recommended & made it worse. In the support group I'm in they said take him off of that & I did & he got better for about a yr. I was given 3 alternatives . I take Nuplazid and it works.
My husbands hallucinations are increasing and Neurologist recommends Nuplazid. Would appreciate any input.
My husband has Parkinson’s and in the past he has hallucinations, people in our house, our doors are always locked even when we are in the house, he has been pretty good lately but now are adult children are coming home for a visit, I am afraid that this is going to get him all confused again and we will have to start all over again. I really want them home for a visit, but I am worried. Any advice?

Husband was on seroquel. That was stopped and he started on Nuplazid a couple weeks ago. Seems to be having a rough adjustment period.
Nuplazid has helped my dad so so very much, it’s very expensive but with the help of your neurologist you can get assistance from the Parkinson’s foundation and there are others
They ranged from pet size dark shapes to colorful full sized figures. Appearing often during the days. As my depression continued the doctor changed my medicine to a unique antidepressive called EFFEXOR. Since raking 75mg a day, I have not had a hallucination. I was shocked. I kind of miss them. I haven’t told the doctor yet. Has anyone else had the same experience?
